Angela.VC (“Angela”, “we”, “our”) provides AI-powered pitch coaching for startup founders. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. We use Clerk for authentication and do not store passwords directly.

Pitch Content

This includes pitch decks you upload, voice and video recordings from practice sessions, and any text you enter during coaching interactions. Your pitch materials remain yours and are only used to provide the coaching service.

Usage Data

We collect basic analytics such as pages visited, feature usage, session duration, and device type to improve the service.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide real-time pitch coaching and feedback
  • To generate session reports and track your progress over time
  • To improve our AI models and coaching quality
  • To send you service-related communications
  • To maintain security and prevent abuse

AI Processing

Your pitch sessions are processed by third-party AI providers (including OpenAI) to generate coaching feedback. We send only the minimum data required for analysis. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and do not use your data to train their general models under our agreements.

Data Retention & Deletion

Session recordings and pitch decks are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual sessions or your entire account at any time from your dashboard. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Angela:

  • Clerk — authentication and user management
  • OpenAI — AI analysis and coaching feedback
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing
